can't exclude Data drive in back up image

Hi, I'm trying to back up my system to external Hard drive, but I can't exclude my data drive from back up option. it says it's required for system recovery. in my previous back up I can exclude the data drive but now I can't. the D Drive is just purely for data and is huge.

if I uncheck the "enable system recovery" option then I can exclude the data drive. but this is system back up. I need it to be available for system recovery

please help.
