I have Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2 running server backup to a locally attached e-sata disk (the backup disk). It takes backup of the system partitions as well as of selected folders from the D: drive (data drive dontaing shared folders etc.).
The backup runs fine, but it takes long time due to the amount of data on the D: drive. This data changes seldom, so I tried to configure the Server Backup to take incremental backups of that drive (in the server backup snap-in, see attached screen dump). However, this had no influce on the backup and it still takes full backup (see attached screen shot).
What am I doing wrong?
Additional info:
- Server backup was configured trough the dashboard.
- The D: drive also contains the Client Backups folder. It is included for backup.
- The D: drive contains a Hyper-V machine (but at time of backup it was not running).
