Folks,
We need your help with this!
Here is the scenario:
* This VM is a DC/DNS/DHCP
* Server 2012R2 (fully patched)
* the VM is a part of DPM 2012R2 rotation (the client was pushed in from the server)
* Gen 2 VM
* There are multiple Domain Controllers with identical setup (except DHCP) and members of the same DPM protection group being backed upfine.
Every 3-3.5 days something happens that makes "Block level backup engine Service", Virtual Disk Service" and the Volume Shadow copy service utilization to hit the ceiling. The whole thing renders the VM unusable until reboot. All attempts to restart or kill the service/process end up with "Access denied"
We have tried the following already:
* Removing DPM protection
* Uninstalling the DPM client
* Removing the Windows backup feature.
* Reinstalling everything in the reverse order
* Implemented DHCP access denied registry key fix
Any assistance in resolving the situation is appreciated!
