- Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V Host.
- W2K12 VM with two drive VHDx files, one Snapshot -> four files altogether.
- Standard WSB backup overnight.
- Delete the VM and Restore.
- WSB Restore restores all four files, but says "The selected virtual machine has no snapshots".
- The VM's Settings are pointing the IDE and SCSI files to the snapshot files.
- The VM boots Ok and the snapshot file content is there.
Is this normal?
Shouldn't restoring the VM also restore the snapshot info to the manager (I've tried restoring Host Component, etc.)?
Is there some way to add the ability to see the snapshots in the manager?
I assume we can manually merge the files via the manager or discard the snapshots via editing the VM settings.
Thanks,
Bob.
