Can't Backup because of a FAT32 partition that is holding Bootmgr, Boot Folder, Recycle Bin and BOOTSECT.BAK files.

Hey all,

I got a new server that came with Server 2008 R2 on it. I promoted it to a DC and got some other things installed on it.

I fired up a backup and tried to set a schedule but when I add all the drives and Bare Metal Recovery etc. I get a message

Volume OS have an unsupported file system and cannot be backed up.

So I assign a letter to that partition and I see that it's a FAT32 that holds the Bootmgr, Boot Folder, Recycle Bin and BOOTSECT.BAK files.

Is it possible to move these file to the C drive so I can delete the FAT32 partition and still be able to boot up and backup?

If yes, please tell me how?

I don't want to reformat the server because I will have to demote it and other stuff...

Thank you
