Hello Everybody,
I have a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 and it has 3 Hyper-V VMs running constantly. Whenever Windows Server Backup starts I get the following errors (51 and 27) in the event viewer and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to fix the issues? My backup completes as expected and the errors do not seem to effect it at all but the events get logged every single time the backup runs.
Log Name: System
Source: volsnap
Event ID: 27
The shadow copies of volume \\?\Volume{96320696-4061-11e0-8f56-842b2b61d4be} were aborted during detection because a critical control file could not be opened.
Log Name: System
Source: Disk
Event ID: 51
Description:
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk3\DR14 during a paging operation.
For event 51 specifically I would like to note that there is no Harddisk3 on the system and there never has been. I have double checked disk management multiple times to be sure. I also tried changing the external drive (backup destination) to a brand new one and the error persists.
If anybody can shed any light on what's going on with these errors I would appreciate it. They don't seem to be effecting the server at all and backups are still successfully completing every night so it doesn't seem like anything major, I'd just like to address the events if possible.
