Is this ever going to be fixed? I have been working with this interface for years now. The same problems that were in 2008 are in 2012. It has problems updating the deleted files it runs and stops with no way really to trouble shoot. Yeah there are some codes but it is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. There are tons of people having tons of problems with this. Considering that in the EULA Microsoft states that it is a lease of the software and no changes can be made then as the leaser I would like to request you go back to the drawing board with this piece of crap. It is a back up system and that by all accounts should put some urgency in to your bones. The back up is the most important thing you can do and Microsoft just keeps letting it slide. Stop using end users as your beta testers and fix the crap before you put it out. It has problems with catalogs and tons of problems with the new disk format even with the patch. I am not going to list the problems because it is very easy to find them by doing a search for windows back up. There are thousands of problems listed and still no fix. We take care of so many servers and have tried a ton of different setups and configurations to make this work. We are no longer using NAS and we are just using ext drives. We can not get anymore basic then that. What we have found is any disk that even has NAS in the documentation has a problem with this application running. Red drives are a big no no. Which is ludicrous because they reduce heat and it seams that is what you would want for a back up. Please, please, please, scarp this and start over. The inconsistency is ridicules and for a back up software that can not happen. Why would you put out something like this? Go back t Veritas (windows 2000) and try that again. At least it worked on a consistent basses.
