This question deals with Windows 8, Windows Surface RT and Windows Server 2008 R2.
I am a IT Technician for a school and today we got some Surface RT 32GB tablets today 24 to be precise. Well we have a Windows Server 2003 R2 print server but we are going to get rid of it and Making our Windows Server 2008 R2 Server the print server. Does Windows Server 2008 R2 support Windows 8 and Surface RT in a update or is there a program to help it? We were going to go to Windows 7 but we decided to try out Windows 8 and Surface RT and if they work out how we hope then it will be a site wide project to upgrade our badly aging network. The 2008 R2 Server is very new and getting a 2012 server is the last thing we want to do. But I could try for a grant. But more than likely it would be shot down.
