Restore hyper-v vm

Hi,

When we restore a 2008R2 vm on a Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V host as a Backup Using Child Partion Snapshot including the "Host Component" the network settings, i.e. virtual network switch, are not restored. Or are these settings considered part of the host? But then they should be restored with a system state restore, which they don't. Can someone shed some light on this?
