I don't know why but my recovery environment has turned to NT 6.1.7601.16385, not the previous 6.3.9600.17301. So I tried to copy a Server 2012 R2
install folder to a partition without install.wim. When I switched to recovery environment, I found that dism utility on sources folder could be executed, though help files were not all available. I also tried to capture an empty partition and it returned
a result indicating that my capture operation was successful. However, when I tried to apply that empty image file to he partition I had captures before, it returned an error message. This message told me that an error occurred. The dism.log file gave me a
pn error code:80070057. Some information on the Internet implied that some parameters were incorrect. But I used exactly the same parameters as Technet posted, only changed the value of parameters. I don't know what the **** was going. As I can assure that
I have full access to partitions I capture and apply, including read and write access, of course. Anyone can give me an idea?
