The system is a Windows Server 2012 R2 running hyper-V. The built-in Microsoft backup software has been running for several months with no problems. The software is backing up the "EFI System Partition", C:, Recovery, and several
VMs. Last week (while I was on vacation of course) the backup software began failing with the following error: "The backup operation that started at '2015-06-09T20:23:20.944542800Z'
has failed with following error code '0x8078011E' (Windows Backup failed to get an exclusive lock on the EFI system partition (ESP). This may happen if another application is using files on the ESP. Please retry the operation.). Please review the event details
for a solution, and then rerun the backup operation once the issue is resolved."

I tried stopping the anti-virus software as was suggested in a post on this web site but this did not help.
So, currently the backups on this host are not working. This is a production box so I can not easily reboot the system. Luckily all the VMs on this host are also replicated to another server.
Is there a tool that would let me see what file is locked?
Any help would be appreciated.
